I don't read Doonesbury. Does anybody know what Drudge is talking about? If the strip implies that the terrorist attacks and the resulting war have been a "good thing" for President Bush, then Trudeau is even more despicable than I thought.

Is this the hush hush breaking story they were talking about on lucianne.com?

You've got to be kidding? How sickening.
Wasn't it Chris Matthews who penned something about it being too bad that Clinton didn't have a test like this to showcase Clinton's leadership?

Or they just couldn't respond militarily to Sudan because of Ramadan and it just so happened that Ramadan was over just in time for Congress to vote out articles of impeachment.

I'll be interested to see how many newspapers (hopefully) drop his strip after this gets out.

In the wake of 9/11, mindless ideologues in the press are exposing themselves for the ignoramuses that they are. A political cartoon strip which insinuates that the president gloats over the bodies of dead Americans will be received in the manner that one would receive an oaf at a party who makes fun of rape or cancer.
What a scumbag.

Any editor that allows this piece of offensive garbage to sully the pages of their paper ought to be taken...ah, never mind. I suppose years of having to sleep with Jane Pauley could leave any man, even Trudeau, with a serious case of dementia. What a vile pig. (If your paper carries this strip, cancel your subscription IMMEDIATELY!)

Thanks.

Seeing that this strip is in color, I think it is today's. In fact, I found it on Yahoo! Comics and it was listed as today's strip.
To: marajade
I don't know. I was purged a long time ago so I don't "go there" any more...

Those that can...DO. Those that can't....Draw. Oh, no. He's even less talented than that. Trudeau doesn't draw his own strip and never has. Someone else draws it.

There were a couple of such articles:
Matthews thread
Weiss Article
The Weiss article is one of the most accurate and colorful depictions of the ex-president I have seen yet.

I go there to read the shortcuts. I find it difficult to remember my password each time I try to post so I don't post there anymore.

My husband stated it just shows his true political colors. I find it sickening.
