Hi vermonter
my neighbor on the lower east side of Manhattan
who was born in my building, grew up there
and when she married moved to the apartment downstairs
used to tell me ''Staten Island is so beautiful, it's the country there''
she had never been any place else
I had been to Vermont tho -- and always wanted to move to Vermont
it's still my dream to live rural

My sister lives two blocks from where we grew up. She hardly ever leaves SI and all her kids are now living within blocks of her. At least, having been in the service, I've had a chance to travel and see some of the country/world.
