You know,... I saw JimRob's message go to 2000+ posts on wether or not this web site is redundant or outdated or of no particular use anymore.

Then the guys at work got busy shutting down sports sites and other such trivial stuff. They shut down Free Republic as well. Of course, for me, this is a problem because as a web site this is the best source of news and opinion I've ever come across.

I'm not saying that the contributors to FreeRepublic.com do not have a sense of humor and I'm not going to mention Cheese or the Moose in this post.

It's a great news site, and, a wonderful humor site. It's also a wonderful meeting site and a good place to read opinion and commentary. Keep doing the good work. Gotta go now, time to get my subscription renewed!
