Well I guess I should make it official. My last post:

I'm gonna leave. I don't want to pin all the blame on BADJOE..as I have been thinking I need to get off line more often and live life again. I do just want to state for the record that I find it abhorrant the way that accounting of freeper money occurs on this site. There is a big smoke screen up on how these things are handled and you are branded an enemy of this place if you raise an eyebrow to how things are done. Top that off with moderators. This place has been great. You guys are great. I'd like to think we have done a few things for the Smokers cause and I'd like to think that that work will continue here. It is definitely needed.

Max, Gabz, Joe ...I wanna make sure everyone here knows how much you guys are doing for the cause and I wish you all well in your endeavors. To the rest of you: Quit drinking and go step on an anti.(jk)

I wish I had something grand to say in my final post...some great quote or something as it feels like the end of something special. I don't have one...so I will just leave you with this:

I think you could send a stronger message by continuing to take advantage of the fine services provided but discontinuing contributions until your requirements for accounting are met.

If this was, in fact, your last post - you will be missed.
It was your endeavor with the Smokers' Lounge that originally brought me to stop lurking and start posting.
At that time, there were debates going on in the Smokers' Lounge that got fast and furious at times and I could not stand idly by and watch. I had to get involved.
I have learned many things from this forum since that time. One of which was to not let the detractors get to me.

If this was, in fact, your last post then God go with you, keep you, and protect you. Because of you, one more patriot has been brought into the fray.

I think there might be a little defensiveness just now because things are in the formative stage and they don't want to throw out figures that may change quickly, and then be accused of misrepresenting.

Give everything a little time to come together. Public disclosure is required; if the figures satisfy people, they'll contribute. If there are serious questions, then people won't.

Your contribution to Free Republic has been too valuable for you to leave.

For one thing, it would make Tacis too happy.

I mean, if you need time away, I can sure understand that, but there just ain't nothing out there that compares to here, and there just ain't no folks out there that compare to us.
