President Bush plans to visit California next month to stump for gubernatorial hopeful Bill Simon Jr. with at least one major fund-raiser, GOP sources said Thursday.

The president's appearance in the Golden State seven months before the election demonstrates the intense interest Republican national leaders are taking in the race.

If you only want to ban handguns, you aren't anti-strict-gun-control to them, and do want to ban handguns, you're an anti to us. This is not to say that this represents Lundgren's position.

I'm still somewhat irked at Bush for not helping Bret. I'm not sure that a visit would have been enough to push him over the top, but it would have been nice. The least they could have done was have somebody from the national party b!tch-slap our hideous, RINO NJ GOP leadership.

That said, we've got to pull out all the stops in California. I hope this is an election that all of us here on FR can get behind. Please continue to post news!

It's sad to have SUCH HIGH popularity numbers if they are SQUAT in the face of your enemy RATS! I sure don't see the EVIL RATS shaking! Borking Pickering was a sign to Dubya that the RATS are very much in control, ESPECIALLY Tom Thumb! Sorry to sound so down beat, but am still so outraged at what they did to Mr. Pickering! I'm hoping against all odds that borking Pickering will backfire on the EXCREMENT RATS, ROYALLY in Nov.!

See, this is the liberal media. Lungren wasn't a gunner, but he wasn't a gun grabber. He pissed off the gunners because he interpreted laws like a gun grabber. According to this article, he was "anti-strict gun control" because they couldn't say that he was "anti-gun control" because he was in favor of some gun grabber policies. He was "anti-strict" gun control because he didn't favor ALL gun grabber policies.

Boy! This confuses even me!

Go Simon!
