SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- State officials here have spent almost five months getting nowhere in their efforts to renegotiate nearly $43 billion in long-term power contracts, signed at a time when spot-market prices for electricity were significantly higher than today.

Now, Gov. Gray Davis and his advisers fear that the financial concerns raised by the costly contracts could evolve into a political liability for the governor as he campaigns for re-election this year.

Davis is done. He has no chance of winning in the coming election. This, I am quite confident of.

These damn socialists, communists and power fascists should be used as testing rods to see if the power is on or not at power plants:

In Calpine's response filed Friday with FERC, the company calls the PUC complaint "not merely shortsighted but completely irresponsible and extremely destructive to efforts to fund ... new investments in critically needed generation capacity for California."

David Freeman, a senior energy adviser to Mr. Davis who led many of the negotiations last year, defends the PUC filing against generators. have an opinion that we ought to sue 'em every way we can," Mr. Freeman told a legislative committee here last week. "We are putting pressure on them by taking the case to FERC."

Freeman is typical of the Anti American leftist maggot who came to power during the Carter administration. He should be retired to the old left maggot farm to gnaw on dead roadkill.

If California is stupid enough to re-elect Governor Doofus, Freeman and Doofus will be complaining in a couple of years that the power companies are refusing to build new plants or entering into binding contracts with the State.

I really don't know what other steps these two morons can do to discourage further investment in the Golden State. They're really doing a splendid of job of making the problem so much worse.

Well, they could issue warrants to arrest the CEO's and board members to really drive away any new power plant investment.

The Cal Pine CEO had better watchout. He lives in Kali and will soon find out how Fascist Davis treats people who dare to stand up to him!

Yep, Davis has even hosed his former buddies at Calpine.

Serves them right, though. They knew darn well he was a snake before they snuggled up to him.

What happens to rats when they snuggle up with a big and hungry snake?
