I think the Church Davis attends is in the LA area somewhere; Beverly Hills or Santa Monica. In the first year of his governorship he spent very little time in Sacramento if it was reported correctly. He hates Sacramento and loves LA. I'd be surprised if he went to Church much in Sacramento. Perhaps we should be calling/writing Cardinal Mahoney?

I'm a Protestant, and yet I would be besides myself with glee to see the Roman Catholic Church giving this creep the boot. Why a worldwide church which puts SO much emphasis on moral living should tolerate such high profile shenanigans (and I could point at the case of Ted Kennedy too) is beyond me.

I think that this is an excellent idea and that Bishop Weigand should most definitely deny the Sacraments to Davis -- particularly because he has publically stated that he is a Roman Catholic while in the same breath supporting homosexual unions.
HOWEVER, I think that you should have added -- and maybe can send a suppliment letter -- regarded Davis' desire to require all health care providers and employers and pharmacists to provide the so-called "morning after" pill which is an abortifacient. There is no moral or conscious clause to Davis' desire on this mandate, which puts the Catholic Church in the position of procuring abortions when we are steadfastly opposed to the destruction and murder of innocent human life.
Just my thought. Thank you for your good work. God bless.
