You don't see why the President of the United States or future Conservative Governor of the largest state in the Union shouldn't call in to a show which features naked women, lesbian dial-a-dates and freaks and freaky as they come. If we have to sink that low, I don't want to be part of that party.

I don't care for some of Mr. Stern's antics, either. But at the same time, if appearing on his show were to ensure a landslide in 2004, with pickups of House and Senate seats, then I'd do it.

All Bush or Simon would have to do would be to call in, toss Howard something nice (either a proclamation or something of that sort - kinda like those keys to a city some people get), and ask for his support. None of the freaky stuff at all. PJ-Comix would know more about this than me, but I think I'm accurate on this part.

What we get are the Supreme Court nominees (and other judicial nominations) CONFIRMED. We'd be able to make the tax cuts permanent. We'd be able to build on the education bill we passed last year. Lots of good stuff could happen.
