Davis, faced with reports California may have a $22 billion state budget shortage, said he is planning a new "worst-case scenario."

Which typifies Davis' entire administration. The whole thing has been a new worst-case scenario.

There's the reason Gray Davis should be denied a second term. Next to him Jimmy Carter looks downright competent. And that's not a compliment to either of the worst political failures the Rats have managed to produce in the past century. Four years ago Davis ran and won in a landslide on the basis of the slogan, "experience money can't buy." Well given what we've seen from our governor in his one term in office that's experience that hasn't been used to put California on a sound footing for the future. The fun's about to begin this summer and look for the budget meltdown mode to set in.

I'd argue that the Davis administration has been a "horrifically worse than we ever imagined was possible" -case scenario.
