You guys have to check this out!

It was reported in the news this morning that Governor Gray Davis has featured a section of his website towards depicting California's Republican nominee for Governor as a right-wing extremist.

Gray Davis is out to lunch and out-of-touch with people of California... check it out!

Click Here for Gray Davis "Trashing" Simon Web Attack

Personally I think it helps Simon to have Davis attack him for this kind of stuff. A lot of people will end up agreeing with Simon!

Are you getting what I was saying yet?

We get lots of articles about how Davis is bad — but nothing from Simon. Now we get an article about Davis' attack on Simon — and nothing from him.

Is he doing something that isn't being reported? Is he saving his money and effort until it gets closer to November? Or is he heading the Lungren way of just letting his opponent run the campaign, and then losing in a gentlemanly fashion?

He needs, IMHO, to be out there, and keep DAVIS on the offensive — unless they're concerned about peaking early.

Dan

Gray Davis, the early years

I wonder how much Viet Nam and the military contributed to the family breakup, or the usual trying to 'deal with teenagers'. Seeing as both parents went back east following the divorce, I guess it could have been just about anything, including '60s California.

Dan, I see you are in Sacramento--which is like the Washington, D.C. of the world's 5th largest economy. Got any 'media' of the right to get the Simon activities reported? Down here in Orange County and in San Diego County, we get some balance. And, we're close enough that Radio Free LA gets heard in Los Angeles by anyone who cares to listen. San Francisco is an even 'tougher' market. It's possible that the emerging Asian community will be able to see through the 'Leftist' lies and be able to make inroads into the 'mindnumbed' PBS robots pseudo-intellectuals.

No, mostly we just have the Sacramento Bee-Minus, which makes LA Times look like Washington Times.

On-air, though, we have some good talk radio. One really good local host is Eric Hogue, morning/drivetime on KTKZ 1380.

But see, I know you know a candidate who just collapses into gelatin and sniffles and burbles that the media won't let him get his message out... is a loser! Take the fight to the enemy.

True, if Simon sticks to the local talk radio, he's preaching to the choir.

Dang, gotta get back to work!

How are you doing, Dan???? Waiting breathlessly for TT???? ;-)

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but I've worked all over Cal., and from what I hear out of people, they aren't thrilled with Davis, but the only they want less is another Republican as governor, visions of Wilson are still dancing in everyone's head. I think he lost Cal. for the Rublicans for a long time. Riordan might have been able to do it, since he was really a Democrat anyway, but I'd be surprised if Simon wins. From what I've seen he's been an invisible candidate, just saw him on the news with Bush today, but aside from that, his appearances seem few and far between. They mentioned on the news that his campaign fund is down to nearly zero, which doesn't bode well either.

I would bet that Simon spoke both yesterday and today, and that all that will be reported is W. That for this week is good enough, for the primary objective of the day was 'getting some $$$$ in the bank for when W. isn't here. Simon will do plenty. It is what 'we', and I'm a part of that we, do that will turn the faucet of the California Republican party.

How do we bring the RINO's into the mix? They have the 'way' to reach the undecided, do they have the will? The northeastern RINOs wouldn't get behind Schundler in New Jersey, where is that 'biggest issue?', we need to resolve it here in California. Davis wants 'abortion' and 'choice' to be the issue. Apparently, he feels RINOs will shy away from Simon because of it. Keeping the 'state' out of the 'choice' is my argument. And, 100% of Sacramento's politicians mothers 'Chose' Life.

A Reminder from Simon's Recent Past

(01-29) 05:39 PST LOS ANGELES (AP) --

"Former Mayor Richard Riordan holds a double-digit lead against his GOP rivals in the gubernatorial primary and is running even with Gov. Gray Davis in a possible fall matchup, according to a Los Angeles Times poll released Tuesday.

The poll found Riordan receiving 34 percent support from people likely to vote in the March 5 primary, followed by Los Angeles businessman Bill Simon with 20 percent and Secretary of State Bill Jones with 13 percent.

A third of likely GOP voters, however, said they were undecided.

In a general election matchup, Riordan and Davis were neck-and-neck among registered voters, with 43 percent and 44 percent of the vote, respectively. The poll found Davis beating both Simon and Jones with the same margin, 51 percent to 33 percent.
*******
Let's see, Simon won the 'primary' big, and Davis' 18 point lead before the primary has shrunk to 14. Davis losing 8 points from 51 to 43 and Simon losing 4 points from 33 to 29. The 'undecided' going from 16 to 28. SHADY Gray's 'lights' are getting dimmer, IMHO.

You got that right, girl! Every bit we read of it, every photo, that amazing preview — yow! Just have to stop thinking about it! "Is it December yet?" is a frequent question at our house. Second to it is, "Is it August [DVD] or November [special DVD] yet??"

My theme song on the issue is that Davis is a one-issue extremist, whereas Simon actualy sides with the majority.

Most people believe in some limits on abortion (not third-trimester, parental notification, etc.). Simon does too. Davis doesn't.

I'm willing to work. I'm also wanting to be led to a degree. (With Bush, Dole, and Lungren, I had the experience of working for someone who wasn't working for himself. Don't want to do that one again!)
