Actually, Oracle contributed some significant money ($25K) to Davis. And to Attorney General Lockyer ($25K). Not that that will influence his impartiality ;-).

I think there was mention of that in one of the articles . I think it is on the Calgov2002 list unless it has dropped off, we have such a flood of articles on Grayout Davis.

Oracle gave something like $43,000 to Davis, and another $25,000 to Bill Lockyer. And this was five days after the contract was signed. Note to self: make sure that when I bribe the governor in return for a lucrative contract, buy off the state AG as well.

Donate $68,000, get $95,000,000. I wonder if I can get my bank to extend me a loan--it's a surefire investment opportunity.

Oh, and the contract was for 270,000 licenses for the software--the state has a total of 230,000 employees.
