Wide-ranging investigations into the state's $95 million computer software contract with Oracle Corp. began focusing Friday on the role of Logicon Inc., which brokered the suspect deal.

Attorney General Bill Lockyer said he was zeroing in on the role of the Virginia-based information technology company, which served as consultant to the state and stands to collect as much as $28.5 million from the Oracle contract.

Davis is like any other tyrant in charge of a government. He is unable to recognize a single crime against the people that he and his fellow SS troopers have commited 24/7 since he was sworn in.

Davis may try to create a scapegoat out of Logicon. Since Logicon may have acted unethically, perhaps Lockyer's probe will just concentrate on that aspect but ignore or downplay Davis' role in the Oracle contract.

That game can last well past November; if it does, Ackerman should campaign hard (for CA Attorney General) on Lockyer's impartiality or sluggishness.
