CARB's report suggested the following:
Raising taxes on gasoline by fifty cents a gallon;
Taxing the miles you drive at two cents per mile;
Raising taxes on SUVs and minivans by $3500;
Reducing the speed limit to 55 miles per hour (again); and
Requiring everybody to have a "tire check" certification, much like a smog check today.
Our SUVS are now a fantasy for the tax and spend rats. They never cut their paymentst to their parasite voting cults, they just find new ways to tax us to pay for their voters's life choices/styles.
