This is totally in keeping with his philosophy. Yup. So is delivering the goods in return for a donation.

I think that was down in San Diego!

And on his way out, Davis raised his hands, and shook his head, "I am not a crook."

I hope someone commissions a Zogby poll. The poll should be taken after Oraclegate starts to make an impression. Then, hopefully, the poll will look really good.
Mr. Simon needs to get his message out, too, so the voters will know why they should vote for him. Right now, even with a Davis scandal, it's not clear if most people feel strongly for Simon or just against Davis.

I also want to see what happens after the budget 'adjustment' in mid-May, and the tax increases start. I can't see the Democrats cutting their precious programs, so a large bump in taxes is in the cards. I hope people start paying more attention when their wallets start to suffer.

Incredible. Simply incredible...

"A handful of electricity traders, apparently in the Northwest, noticed this price trend and tried to capitalize on it." Anybody you know?
And I wonder if they might have a comment, now that the ISO's market manipulation has come to light...

Robert357 said he would be out of touch for a few days . So maybe he will get back here late tomorrow!

The Sacramento
Bee is on Davis' case, aren't they?
First, the editorial demanding a federal investigation of "Oraclegate". Now, this report of a ludicrous attempt by the governor's own ISO to engage in price-rigging for its own account.
They seem to have given up on Governor Doofus, even though he's one of their own, haven't they?
We'll know he's doomed when the LA Slimes calls for his defeat...

The media seems to be getting more interested in finding the MUCK on Davis!
Gaspar says there may be a bombshell in the SF Chronicle tomorrow.
They have almost been the preferred outlet for the Davis Propanganda machine.
So we will see what they publish tomorrow!.
But the Simon Campaign seems to be getting after it!
To: Angelique
One of the threads (today I think ) has a picture of Davis with caption:
"I am not a crook."

We'll know he's doomed when the LA Slimes calls for his defeat... I posted one of their pieces recently where the Slimes was given Davis Advise -- to dismiss some people, which he seems to be doing.
So I think they are concerned that he is in deep poo!
I think that is a good sign!

Naturally, CA Republicans are to blame for this..., somehow....

But the lack of outrage has been deafening. Well, I'm pissed.

Maybe we should start a t-shirt business. Gray's mug with the caption: I am not a crook. Lights out.

"I suppose Davis and his minions will have us believing that this guy made these telephone calls all by his lonesome." That's the $64,000.00 Question. Unfortunately, it's too close to the marrow to be answered.

We'll know he's doomed when the LA Slimes calls for his defeat...It will never happen. The time for the Slimes and the other liberal CA newspapers (are there any that aren't?) to have dumped Davis was last summer when he totally botched the energy situation. If they'd done it then and backed another Democrat in the primary, that might have worked.
But no, they stuck with Davis just like the NY Slimes and the Wash. Compost stuck with Clinton, despite the stench.
When the election nears, we'll get the editorials about how mistakes have been made in the past, but hopefully Davis has learned from them and he's the best hope for CA's future, or some such drecht.
They'll NEVER, EVER back Simon--not in a million years. Not even if Davis were being hauled away in a paddy wagon.
