Sacramento -- As Oracle Corp. seeks to boost government contracts, the software company has carefully channeled its major campaign contributions to a select few California politicians wielding the most power over its livelihood.

Just about every elected official who has received a major contribution from Oracle has some measure of control over Oracle government business, or held influence over the $95 million software contract that has embarrassed the company and Gov. Gray Davis.

More data on this. Our attorney general is one arrogant SOB: When asked if he regretted taking $50,000 from Oracle, the most of any California politician, Lockyer quipped: "I was wishing it was more," but added that his attorneys would conduct a professional investigation.

It might be of interest to see how much Whoreacle has contributed the Mexican Version of the PA's, La Raza!

Last night was one of those rare nights, I went to bed early at 9:30. At 4 am, my eyes went wide open! So I got out of bed to let my wife continue to sleep.

Speaking of fishing, have you ever been fishing in Lake Powell? If so,any suggestions for what works in late May? Thanks.

Never have been there. You need to contact some locals. Late May gets hot and drives the fish down low. That really eliminates a lot fly fishing. Often western lakes during Late May to Oct. require special rigs to get your lures or bait down low.

My son went fishing for Stripers yesterday in a Northern Cali Lake. Earlier in the day the stripers were chasing bait in the shallow areas. He caught several nice ones in the 15 to 18# size. By 10-11 am, the sun had heated up the water, and the stripers left the shallow area. He then found them and their bait at 50 plus feet deep in the lake. He and I have sinking fly lines to get you down that far, but most of the sport is out. Even a 40+ striper will not fight that hard (it is all relative) on a sinking fly line when hooked deep.

But as holder of that office, Mr. Lockyer, “not only has admitted that rape is a regular feature of the state’s prison system, but also that he considers rape a part of the punishment he can inflict on others.” What if, Palmer speculates, the head of Enron were female?

It is hard for me to believe that a potential customer the size of California state government would have to go through a third party reseller. That sounds pretty strange to me. Just more fingers in the cookie jar if you ask me.

A state senator whose son works for Oracle arranged a meeting between Logicon -- Oracle's reseller in California...

Anybody else find this odd? As best as I can tell, Oracle usually sells direct to large companies and state governments. Why cut in a middleman?

Yet in this case, they did. Could it be that this was the best way to set it up to allow certain people to skim on the contract? Has this angle been pursued in the press? Will it be covered in the hearing?

Just wondering, and would be interested in any of you California folks can clarify.

I still have goosebumps when I re read the remark the ciminal playing Kali AG made re Ken Lay meeting Spike.

Davis and our criminal AG are fascists right out of the old Benito School. They set up corporations as favorites due to their contributions. Anyone daring to battle them gets the "Spike" treatment from the criminal running Kali AG office.

If a republican had said anything like "Meet Spike!", the pressitutes would replay that 24/7. There would have been seven Follywood movies for tv made just to focus on that remark.

I find it very interesting that radical Rat Hispanics in and out office apparently received financial benefits from this spreading of the bribe money. I would like to know if La Raza received sums of money from Logicon or Whoreacle.

It is starting to look like Logicon was just a cash laundering front to distribute bribe money from Whoreacle to those who helped.

When this is over, I'm sure that more Logicons will pop up. A couple of Freepers are working trying to connect the dots to a similiar outfit.
