The Field poll numbers aren't good for Davis, notwithstanding his 14 point lead. It shows Davis well under 50%, which is often fatal for an incumbent.
In addition, the Field Poll was ALL ADULTS, not registered voters, and you don't see Davis touting it. Out of five private polls, only one has Davis leading.
