I had to repeat that. The Red Chinese are making Everything. Heck, I just saw a six dollar electric razor from there. And not just low tech. IBM is moving chips there. The stores are cluttered with stuff from Red Chinese slave labor, and it's only increasing. Pretty soon we will all be, as the saying goes, doing each other's laundry. Seriously though, people don't realize how much of American productive capacity is being exported. Which is a real danger. The reason we won the Second World War was we were able to make more stuff than anyone else.

Of course we still have the movie business, and we can blow things up, so there will always be something for us to do.

You're right and the pressure to export work is growing. The path to a solution lies somewhere in a collective understanding of why it's happening, which too few people, especially politicans, want to go into.
