I do see you point, and maybe the steady drip, drip, drip of scandal will cook Davis' goose.

We're OK here; it's looking like the horrid Cynthia McKinney may face a threat to her continuing reign of bigotry, in the form of former judge Denise Majette. Details here:

The McKinney Files....

May the light of 'truth' shine on the path for the 'good' people of Atlanta, they deserve to be represented by better.

They surely do- I cringe every time she is quoted by the press. Majette sounds like a decent woman. I surely hope she wins.

Name two guys, a doll, and a soon-to-be ex-governor, that Carnac has trouble keeping up with?

Cute, really cute.

Document shredding, a payment handed over in a bar, secret side deals, scapegoats taking the heat,.....a conflicted consultant, some disregarded warnings, potential criminality and a chief executive who claims he didn't have a clue.

Damn, if that doesn't sound like a sound bite from ex-42's reign.
Wait. Something's missing. Does davis have any interns under his desk?

Scandals such as this tend to alienate potential voters from the political process. Simon has the opportunity to use the prevailing cynicism about politicians to accentuate the fact that he is not one.

Good point!

Go Simon!

So far Simon hasn't made a big splash over this issue that I've read in the press (and I read them every day).

Simon has issues statement after statement on the Oracle matter and has received little press play. The press may be all over Davis on this, but they don't want to give Simon any credibility. Simon was one of the first to point out the problems with Oracle, the first to call for Davis to release his fundraising schedule, and the first to identify the huge budget deficit.

I am on Simon's email list, and I suggest that everyone sign up ... because the press sure won't tell you what Simon is doing!

Simon For Governor

Go Simon!

"But do you know what Gray Davis' response to that was? Six months ago he dedicated a new freeway down in Los Angeles called the Foothill Freeway. You know what words he used to dedicate it? "This will be the last new freeway in the history of California."

I remember that! Hmmmmmm..... wonder what he's going to do on AB 1058???? We Drive

Hispanics drive. Soccer moms drive. Women drive. Gays drive. Unions drive. Hollywood drives. Silicon Valley drives.

The Democrats in California are EXTREMELY vulnerable on this issue. The legislation that they are trying to pass will ration or ban many cars and/or much driving in California.

You're right. 100% right. Only 5% of the people in California use public transportation (and I'll bet that over HALF of those are college students!!!!) ... and yet over 30% of our transportation dollars are spent on mass transit boondoggles!

I agree that roads, transportation, etc can be a major issue and I hope that Davis signs that evil bill AB1058 so that people will yell and scream, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!

However, I think he'll veto is because car dealers have more money than enviro-wackos.
