SACRAMENTO - They are informal advisers and longtime allies of the governor, and they are emblematic of an administration some have dubbed ``Davis Inc.''

At a time when Gov. Gray Davis is saying that he keeps California's business separate from politics and campaigning, his close associates move freely among those worlds. They advise the governor informally, help fill his campaign war chest and are so close to him that one flew Davis around the state during the last campaign and another once employed his wife.

Not to mention Gary Condidit was one of his very favorite friends, back in the "good old days" of excessive power and corruption. GO SIMON!

Among these political friends, three stand out: Keith Brackpool, a water adviser to Davis who has his own water business; Jeremiah Hallisey, a lawyer who raises funds for Davis and represented Calpine as it renegotiated energy contracts with the state; and Ron Burkle, a top Davis contributor whose investment business has landed two deals to manage hundreds of millions of dollars from the state's public employee pension fund.

We were just talking about Burkle on a thread posted today and there is a connection to Calpine that I was not aware of !

Someone had to be Pimping for Calpine and Davis or Davis and Calpine ( I get confused re who is doing whom, when it comes to Fascist Davis and his corporate connections!)

``He takes into account people's motivations and uses that in his decision-making,'' South said.

Yes, he determines what they want, and then gives it to them.

These characters are all in bed together. They take turns, depending on who needs what. What's so disturbing
is that there's not even a pretense of separation of personal and state interests. Another sign of the Clinton legacy.

Just another example of Grampa Dave's favorite word to describe Davis, the Clintoons, Da$$hole, Boxer, Chifi and __________ fill you Rat of Choice:

ARROGANCE!

Do you remember the Goron's ARROGANT response of "No Controlling Legal Authority!"?

"No Controlling Legal Authority!"?

This is the ruling ism and reality of the elite Rats in politics and those who are in bed with them. When you are the Fascists in control, you fear no law nor man nor justice.

Davis Press Secretary Steve Maviglio says: ``The governor has a wide circle of people from whom he seeks points of view. Sometimes he agrees with them, sometimes he doesn't.''

But compared with Wilson, Davis has centralized decision-making in his administration, so there are fewer points of contact for special interests, critics say. As a result, those with strong ties to the governor and his closest aides -- such as lobbyist and fundraising strategist Darius Anderson -- have even more clout than in administrations where power was less concentrated.

``I'm troubled by the fact that you have private operators up there running around the governor's staff,'' said Robert Fellmeth, who directs a public interest law center at the University of San Diego. Davis' staff has ``minimal authority'' while ``the big financiers of the state have access,'' he said, ``and access gives them influence.'

Norm when your statement, 'Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely', is combined with my favorite descriptive word, Arrogant, of the Rats in power, we get a great descriptive phrase:

'Absolute Arrogant Power Corrupts Absolutely '
