California’s agriculture industry is the state’s number one industry, providing one out of every ten jobs statewide.

Bill Simon's campaign for Governor of California is one based on ideas. Towards that end, a key component is Bill's plan to sponsor a series of policy “summits” which will engage in discussion of the important issues facing California. Over the next few months, these summits will be held, focusing on the real issues that impact California families – education, economy and the quality of life.

This summit will provide a discussion of the important issues facing the agricultural community and how it impacts all of California. The goal is to be inclusive and open to various viewpoints that may be presented on an issue.

How long has this been planned ? I'll call a couple of farmers in Fresno County tonite but it is pretty short notice for such an important subject.
