This is very interesting ... Florez is running for Senate, and has always pretending to be a "moderate" Democrat, even to the extent of supporting a conservative pro-life Democrat in a primary to replace him in the Assembly (who lost to a very, very liberal Latina.) I'm sure a lot of the flak he is receiving is because he went up against the liberal Democrat establishment in an expensive and high-profile Democrat primary -- and lost.

Cohn and Keeley are protecting Davis because they know if Davis gets in trouble, Davis will become more vulnerable than he already is. Davis is a corrupt politician, and they are protecting one of their own simply because he is one of their own.

My question is, can Florez withstand the pressure? I think that he answers to Burton -- if Burton wanted to ease up on Davis, Florez would ease up on Davis. Afterall, Florez is going to the Senate next year and Burton is no fan of Davis.

I love it when it's the Democrats fighting instead of the Republicans!
