Simon needs to start NOW limited funds or not. His ads should take the same tone that Clinton/Gore's '92 ads took..."Isn't it a shame, and just soooo sad, that the Governor can't address the IMPORTANT state issues without attacking those who can MAKE A DIFFERENCE!" etc. He needs to come forward NOW with a televised news conference-style ad that shows him responding in this way to the "Gray-outrageousness" of the governor's NEGATIVE and UNFAIR campaign. He better get in there NOW and start swinging or the Evil Davis Machine will find a "truth" about Simon that will play with the so-far disenchanted Demoncrats in California.

I respectfully disagree. No one in the general public is paying attention to the election. Trust me on this. The only ones who care are the state workers because they are worried about the budget (and their salaries), those of us patriots who care all the time, and the political pundits in the media. That's it. The average person just isn't paying attention to the election. Davis is wasting his money, but he has no other choice. His negatives are higher than Clinton's ever were, and he doesn't have Clinton's charm (gag me!)

Campaigning now is a severe waste of money, and you get the benefit of pennies for every dollar you spend.

Davis is making big mistakes because he thinks he's invulnerable. Let him sink. If his negatives start to go down before the summer is out, I might change my opinion. So far, they only continue to go up.

Dump Davis!

I wish you had Simon's ear and could transfer your passion to his campaign. As scummy as Clinton-Gore was in 1992, they did run a "good" campaign.
