Clinton only made it worse by showing everyone that as long as you could keep some disconnect between the payment and the action sought, and as long as all your party hung together to say any criticism was just partisan politics, you could get away with any amount of corruption.

Clinton is the master architect of the venality and greed that permeates Democrat politics. He ratcheted up the "take" elected official could expect while in office to unbelievable proportions. He sold pardons to the basest criminals and even bought his wife a Senate seat with his pardon pen. Never before had we seen such crassness and boldness by a president plainly out simply for his own interests. We will be paying the price for the corrupt Clintons' sorry tenure for a very long time.
