>>Especially," he said, "since the Bush administration would like to indict the whole Democratic Party for extorting money<<

I have no problem with that.

This was an excellent suggestion to Mr Vincent:

Let his office know of this place and the "calgov2002" index of articles. It'll give the U.S Attorney a lot of people to be interviewed...

This is concerning. I would rather Simon ran against an injured Davis than an underestimated Cruz Bustamante.

Assembly Democrats were warned in a closed-door meeting last week to avoid any appearance of a link between fund raising and lawmaking...

If they were actually to follow this advice, politics as we know it would probably cease to exist. Without the unspoken but very real money-for-policy trades that go on constantly, the great fundraising engines of most politicians would rumble to a stop.

Love the new logo, Ernest. Manure movers indeed.

I hope the FBI really is looking into Sacramento. There's no shortage of corruption for them to find, I'm sure. Unfortunately, I suspect it'll be long past the election before any indictments are handed down.

Yes, you are right. Cruz is a vile man. He is known to have advocated the concept of Aztlan and California's participation in that plan.

You may be smelling the Bravo Sierra that appeared in the Rat's Depends when they heard about the FBI:

the feds might really nail DemoRats who commit crimes against the state.

It's only a crime when Republicans do it. When Democrats do it, it's called "righting a social injustice."

By the way, if Gray Davis were to be indicted, can the Dems replace him at the head of their ticket?

He's won the primary, so the only way for him to be off the ticket would be for him to step down voluntarily. Even then, I don't know what the mechanism for selecting a replacement would be, or if it's even possible. It's pretty much a moot point; a guy who lusts for office the way Davis clearly does isn't going to do the right thing no matter what, so he'll be on the ballot.

D14truth lead us to the LOGO.

Then Grampa Dave started using it and I thought it was appropriate for the Calgov2002 banner in view of the latest developments!

Shouldn't be that hard to figure out. Look for the ones in the blue windbreaker with "FBI" on the back, and the Glock 23 in the holster. Or if the sport coat sticks out a bit just above the belt...

Vince Foster... TWA Flight 800... Waco... Richard Jewel... Flight Schools... any questions?

Well, a little Waco action on the capitol building might not be so bad ...
