I think the other $50,000 per classroom was used to 'keep God out' - {;~)
If I ever find out that parts of the school budgets went to the ACLU or Planned Parenthood, I might not be such a mild mannered guy.
This part really struck home for me:
1. Confusion: I teach too much, and everything that I teach is out of context. The orbiting of planets, the law of large numbers, slavery, adjectives, architectural drawing, dance, assemblies, etc.
Editors note: I have met countless college graduates whose heads are filled with volumes of academic jumble, but who cannot focus, live under constant stress, can't make a decent income, and can't maintain a stable relationship with a member of the opposite sex.
When I turned 50, I realized that I could say no when asked to deal with or do the impossible. Our company had hired a bunch of college grads that fell into what the editor noted. I told my bosses that I would no longer work these new hire/graduates until they had been with the company for at least a year. I told them my reasons, and they abided by my wishes. Most of the new hires did not last a year.
My oldest son was graduated a little after that with a great degree and immediately got a great job in our 91-92 Kali recession. He heard me discuss my No Thank You with a new boss, while I was on the phone.
When the new boss hung up, my son said,"Good move, Dad. Don't waste your time on these people."
I asked him what was happening. He said that with the liberal professors and the PC courses and diversity BS that most so called college graduates had instant unemployment degrees. They had zero reasoning ability and often spent 5 years smoking and inhaling a lot while learning the right PC mantras. The colleges graduated them with nudges towards them becoming teachers.
