Florez apparently hadn't gotten the "new tone" message.

Looks like Gray-Out Davis' thugs in the Cali assembly have covered for the governor once again. Best of all, it was a fellow democRAT!

Hmmm...something about "eating their young"?

Here is my favorite line in the story:

But on Tuesday, two weeks after Florez ended his Oracle investigation, Assembly Speaker Herb Wesson, D-Los Angeles, stripped Florez of his powerful chairmanship and replaced him with Assemblyman Fred Keeley, D-Boulder Creek, who is seen as far more measured than Florez.

More measured? So, let me get this straight: if someone (anyone!) is critical of a democRAT, they are not "measured" in their actions?

Synonyms for "measured": deliberate, calculated, considered.
Antonyms for "measured": hassled, rushed, pressurized.

I guess, as always, democRATs want to calculate every aspect of an investigation to ensure that the facts AREN'T known and little Gray-Out is harmed politically!

This is reminiscent of the "Saturday Night Massacre" during the Watergate era, when Pres. Nixon fired AG Elliot Richardson for his refusal to fire Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox.

At the time, the press made it a cause celebre, and hailed Richardson's courage. Let's see if the press is equally harsh on Davis and his lackeys, and equally appreciative of Florez's courage and independence.

I hope Simon knows how to capitalize on this. He's been focusing on the veteran's issue lately, and I hope he makes a big deal about them replacing the guy who was going to be looking into the shortfall.

Keeley said he thought Florez was interested in improving state government but that "for all his strengths, has not ever been known to be someone who works collegially."

What a bunch of crap!

Florez for Lt. Governor
