Minimal differences between politics, prostitution

The week began with every Democrat who's running for office this fall plotting how best to convert the current stock exchange disasters into votes.

Many Dems believe the dropping stocks will give them control of the House and Senate this year and the keys to the White House in 2004. At the same time, a small number of Republicans, sensing trouble on the way, have begun distancing themselves from President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

I feel the comparison is unfair to prostitutes. A hooker provides a needed servive for a set fee, if you are unsatisfied with the services rendered you can take your business elsewhere. Our politicans could learn alot about the free market from them.

Prositutes have some minimal respect for their clients' intelligence. Misplaced, perhaps.

Really, at least prostitutes are honest enough to admit they're screwing you out of your money.

The major difference is when prostitutes fail to deliver there is little chance of incumbency, with politics we continually reelect the same old whores.

Prostitutes provide services their clients want there is no lieing or stealing involved. Politicians are just liars and thieves and often totalitarian nutcases. Prostitution is on a much higher moral plane then politics.

I think many in California would be interested in reading this in view of our Governor's antics here and the way he is going to paper over his major errors with 20 year bonds!
