SACRAMENTO - California is launching a statewide notification system to alert parents and communities when a child is abducted, state officials said today.

The alert system, called the California Child Safety AMBER Network, will help local law enforcement access state and federal alert systems that are already in place, said Governor's Office of Emergency Services Director Dallas Jones.

Concerning child abductions and other heinous criminal acts...

How about each large circulation newspaper running a FULL PAGE DESCRIPTION OF THE SICKO AND THE OTHER IDENTIFIERS THE FIRST DAY and at least every other day for 20 editions?

And your local freebie and cable stations running the description(s) of the perverts every half hour SUBSIDIZED BY THE PORK YOUR CONGRESSMEN BRING HOME?

Californian and other liberal legislators are always worrying about saving "just one life"...... is this not the time to think about that "one life" you and other liberal socialists are complaining about rather than the flagpole in your neighbor's yard ?

Davis has another issue that the media has been ignoring, (other than the OC Register ) regarding undesirables in Child Care! Remeber that item from several months ago!

Davis has been criticized for not having the system in place sooner.

The kidnap and killing of 5-year-old Samantha Runnion of Orange County this month, and Daniel van Dam of San Diego in February, has many parents calling for the AMBER system, which has been successful in other states.

Minnesota implemented a similar system in June, and Utah created its system in February.

Thanks for the ping.

Sure enough Davis was on the radio (I haven't seen him on TV yet) taking credit for implementing this system.

Yesterday Simon was on Hugh Hewitt's show calling Davis "Gov. Delay" for delaying action on many issues. He did not mention this, but Simon should add this to the list. He could also mention that Davis is exploiting the abduction of kids for campaign purposes. It would be interesting to know the reasons why it took several kidnappings for Davis to react.

GraYouT was on Connie Chung .. He looked like a Lotto winner. Too Bad Connie Didn't Ask Him Why IT Takes So Long to Implement This Kind of System.
" Well, Connie.. Being Gubinor , I have to balance a lot of important issues, This isn't a success Due in No Large Part To Me." :-\

Too bad Connie didn't follow-up her Gary Condidit interview by asking Davis what Gary-boy was doing hiding out the Gov's mansion last summer & who paid for it.

Assemblyman George Runner (Lancaster) is on the radio right now saying that a resolution was passed 18 months ago to implement the Amber Plan. However Davis did not enact the plan and has not given a reason for not implementing it.
