Bet they still vote for him though

I suspect you are right, but if they convince 3 people not to vote for Davis with their antics, we come out ahead.

I will listen today, I always do. You can hear them on computer at www.kfi640.com Click on John and Ken Show link. I listen to them every day. I will HATE it when I have to move back to Houston area from LA! I do love Chris Baker show in Houston, but I will miss John & Ken show, unless I have them blasting on the computer speakers and Chris on the radio at the same time!!!

True, but they're on the right side of this issue (the SUV issue) and so is Bill Simon. And, Simon is a likeable guy. I think it's a good thing. Wish I could listen, but their internet streaming was down for the last two days, don't think it'll be up today!

They were also on the right side of the soda tax.

They've been beating up on Simon for not fighting back with Davis. They'll probably pound him on this one. But, really, the campaign traditionally doesn't begin until after Labor day. We have this stupid March primary making the November election day seem like an eternity away.

You totally get it. It's ridiculous for SImon to waste his money now when no one (except hacks like us) are even paying attention.

Exactly. Davis has deep pockets. No sense in trying sway swing voters now. They will forget. I can't wait to see those ads. I wonder how Simon couldn't run smear campaign. As far as I can tell, it's his only hope.

They are more than welcome to sink Davis into the same hole as Florio.

Go to Simon's website. He ran a few spots after Davis first started attacking him, statewide. They are incredible. I think we can expect more of the same genre after Labor Day. I can hardly wait.

Simon For Governor Campaign Ads

They are worth the download time. Especially my favorite "Maids"

Simon did a great job on John & Ken today. He ended w/ a very enthusiastic closing statement.

Go Simon!

He sounded great! Except for that remark about bonds... I've already decided they ALL get a "No" vote from me!

Very good!

Any particular item that could be called news come out of it?

I posted a piece from his visit to Stockton:

California: Simon defends his charity

Well, I recall him saying that he was going to start aggressively attacking Davis on TV. I sure as hell hope so!

Oh, and he called Davis California's first "Coin Operated Governor". I loved that line!

I listened Friday. He was good, quick on his feet. I know I'm biased, so I wonder how the swing voters and anybody-but-Davis people would have thought.

Bump ... and to any Freepers who heard Simon, did he do as well as Undivided Heart says? I know we're biased, but Simon IS good on his feet and I heard from an L.A. friend via email that Simon did well.

Go Simon!!!!

The trick to GOOD negative campaigning is to have humor mixed with truth. It cuts through the crap.

I heard him and he was pretty good although John and Ken threw him some softballs which he DIDN'T hit very far. Bill needs to work on his "real guy" schtick. I want him to be governor and couldn't care less if he sounded like Elmer Fudd. But the average Calif. voter wants a pal/father/neighbor/lover not a politi-geek. He should get others to give tesimonials on the shows like this. Have well-known celebs (Arnold, Bruce, Tom etc.) start punching up the need to DUMP DAVIS. Bill sounds like he isn't comfortable as the most listened-to guy in the room yet.
