This is a statewide poll of 800 registered voters. Margin of error is +/- 3%. It is an INDEPENDENT media poll that is commissioned by the following television stations in California: KXTV (Sacramento - ABC Network), KABC (Los Angeles - ABC Network), KGTV (San Diego - ABC Network) and KPIX (San Francisco - CBS Network).

THIS IS THE FIRST MEDIA POLL TAKEN SINCE THE PRIMARY THAT SHOWED BILL SIMON AHEAD - SIMON'S SURGING DESPITE GRAY DAVIS' ATTACKS ... Hoooraaayyy!

It will take a 10% or more lead to win....democrat voter fraud is rampant in California....If Simon has a 10 point lead, he could win by 2 to 3%.

Nearly 47 percent said they would vote for Simon, and 45 percent said they would vote for Gov. Gray Davis.

Eight percent were undecided.

This is good news. If you factor in the usual liberal bias of most polling data (perhaps save Zogby's), and if you factor in the fact that most undecided voters swing towards the challenger late in the race, Mr. Simon has a good chance as it now stands to be the next governor of California. And if he doesn't screw up, he might be the President in 2009. The only way for the Democrats to win an election is to get California. If we can get California, they don't stand a chance.

Independent is liberal-media-speak for left-leaning.

Given the extreme leftist performance of the economy busting, gay rights loving, tax and spending, regulation happy, illegal alien apologist, socialist/marxist legislature in this state, it is imperative that we elect Simon as a counter to that group.

What I'm wondering is if he's got any fight in him. Consider the (appropriate) comparisons to Bush. President Bush has yet to veto anything sent to him by the leftist Senate and the moderate House. Will Simon just allow bills to become laws here or will he be willing to veto bills until the government shuts down. Simply moderating the far left legislature is enough to make him a success as Governor. Given that this state loves Dianne Feinstein (compared to Barbara Boxer, a moderate) it wouldn't surprise me if the state voted for Simon just to have divided government.

This is why I'd like to see Simon take the gloves out in this campaign. To prove that he's willing to later!

(P.S.-No I don't consider Feinstein a moderate in real terms. But compared to Boxer.....)
