Aha! I see you pinged the Sacramento group. Great going! I'm keeping my fingers crossed there will be a large Freeper contingent and we can enjoy a Freep Report (hint hint). ; - O )

I probably will not be there. I am having a bit of a transportation problem. I contribute to "global warming" by driving a '73 Lincoln Continental Mark IV. It has a problem where it wants to die and then won't start. Plus I'm driving on a spare right now.

It's too bad you can't be there but after reading about that beater, er, car of yours it's understandable. ; - )
Now get that car fixed!

The Capital City freepers were all pinged nimc. I'm posting a few more times in this lovely early morning just in case. Thanks so much for your help on the thread.
GO SIMON!
To: Black Agnes
Don't mean to interrupt you, I'm just using you for one of the last bumps to this thread. Keep those fingers and toes crossed for Simon!
To: Libertarianize the GOP
Thank you for your bump! One-and-one-half more hours until the Simon rally!!!
DUMP DAVIS!

Hint hint: Hey guys, we want a freep report!

It's 9:30 as I write this. Sacramento Police are digging through the General Orders to determine if a permit is needed for the "larger" (30-40) group of "demonstrators". The sergeant says the smaller group of 10 won't need one. There's a debate at the moment whether the number is 20 or more that triggers the permit requirement.
When we Freep I always check in with the Sector Sergeant beforehand to avoid this problem. If we think the number will exceed 50 people, we have two options:
1) Get the permit
2) Keep splitting the group by taking opposite sides of the street or street corners.
I hope it was Simon supporters who were the larger group, but knowing how the Davis Camp works, we might be looking for the busses and pay-stubs.
Either way it turns out, it never hurts to get with cops before, rather than during such Freeps. You'll find most support our issues and OUR respect for the "Rule of Law". It's a fairly common practice for the Lrftist to use confrontational tactics with police to garner media attention. The media feeds on unruly demonstrators.

Were/are you there?
In any event, thanks for the information.

I tried to jugle my schedule so I could join you there. Unfortunately, my head was either burried in the sand or I didn't read about it in time to move things around. When I heard it on the SPD radio here in the Bunker (just blocks away) I figured it was the Simon event.
How did it go? Where you the group of 20-30 or the 10? For you any any other freepers who venture to our hood, remember, the coffee pot is always on and you're always welcome. (See:
