"We felt completely stonewalled," said one juror, a college student who would speak only if granted anonymity. "We felt irritated. We wanted to make them hurt because we felt they had done something very wrong. But we didn't want to destroy them."

Where is this "kid" a student?" He sounds so compasssionate.

The liberal idea of compassion to drive a business out of business. I wouldn't really expect a college student to do anything less than to buy into the current mood to the effect that making money is eeeeeevil. In sum, the Simon firm got punished for betting on the wrong horse not because it defrauded a known drug dealer.

"Basically, he said he didn't know anything about anything," Duffy said.

This is Simon's new campaign message? "I was out of the loop?"

If Gray Davis said it the media would give him a pass. If Simon pleads ignorance the pressitutes have him for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Please draw your own conclusions about the quality of reporting in Kalifornistan.

Out of the loop IS Good sometimes.. and frankly, I believe him. He has not run and hid as many wish he would.

GraYouT, on the other hand, acts like a deer staring into headlights after the Oracle debacle.

Back in the Golden Days of Old San Francisco, They had a fella named Emperor Norton and he "ruled" with an air of , well, he smelled but people liked him anyway.

I don't think we can quite say the same thing for Emperor Gray. He rules but he doesn;t really lead, altho after this Dioxin revelation at Tosco, he certainly does smell!

I wonder how much of noGreymatter Davis's $50 million war chest will find its way into Sac Bee's coffers. They certainly are earning it.
