The resultant backlash will produce a considerable sympathy vote for the other guy. Onto the Los Angeles jury verdict --- sometimes a jury can be dead wrong like the OJ Simpson jury and their decision doesn't serve justice. That's what we had here - a runaway jury composed of anti-Simon liberals. Now onto the fall campaign; we're weeks away from Labor Day and barring any further bad news down the pike Simon still looks in a strong position. I'm hoping the liberals go nuclear as it will show they're interested only in tearing down the opposition and not in addressing the problems this state will face in the future.

Actually, as I was telling my husband last night, no businessman who makes over $100,000 a year; no politician; and no Catholic priest will ever get a fair trial in this country ... everyone assumes they're guilty. Thank you, liberal press.
