Now I feel really bad... Full plate with city issues or not, I should have been more diligent getting names. That said, this old soldier is humbled by the sheer energy of this Commando Crew and proud to be among you. Like I said before, the shots of SPD moving in on the throng of Davis lovers was priceless. Too bad the media stringer that was there didn't get that for the evening news.

A Blast from the Past... Remember this shot from President Bush's visit to Sacramento?  For those who've never Freeped before, you've missed something that makes one feel like they are part of the true American landscape.

Here Sac PD is escorting Anti-War protestors out of Patriot-Watch lines. They just can't help themselves!

More them versus us photos. I'm so proud of all your efforts these past two years folks... there's more ahead and we must RECRUIT, RECRUIT and keep on RECRUITING! God Bless America!

I hope you'll accept our FreepMeet Bar-B-Que invite for two weeks from today. We're just blocks from the convention center.

Rats - Blush... in my rush to get pics up, I blew it... As much as farmfriend would have loved to be there, YOU were the one that got us out for Free Republic. NEC... not enough coffee... sorry Saundra...

Also, it seems the tables I've been using for posting pictures mess up some browser's window size. Who else has that problem, what do you use and what's your monitor size. I will correct this after some feedback. Frequent Freepers might help me lobby the Robinson's for an "Author's Delete Button."

To everyone else, if you are not receiving pings and mail from us, you are not on the list. If you live anywhere with in Sac county and it's neighbors, please let me know if you want to be on the list.

While we were freeping the gov, Jim Robinson HIMSELF was freeping the creeps who showed up to protest VP Dick Cheney in Fresno! However, unlike us who had a pretty good turnout, Jim was all alone. I feel bad about this. Something has to be done to get freepers to show up. Oh, well, I have been to freeps where I was the only one who showed up. I freeped anyway. Freep on . . . For victory & freedom!!!

I'm sorry I wasn't there! I'm happy you were standing up to that creep for all of us though, representing our folks. I started a new job and can't miss any work, in training right now. I didn't even know about this freep... Hopefully next time I can be there, we need this nutcase out of OUR HOUSE!!! Freep on!

Why do we Freep?
Saundra, I'm sure there are times we all ask ourselves, is it worth the effort? Jim Robinson is one of those people who walks the walk and I'm sure he'd go it alone again to take a stand. I borrowed this post from Sac GWB Yahoo Group because it answers that question and then some. The energetic bunch at the Convention Center made a difference today and prdamrcn's own words say it better than I can.

Hi group,

I have been a (generally silent) member on here for quite some
time. For the record, I am about as conservative as they come, and
a big supporter of George W. Bush. And Ronaldus Magnus (Ronald
Reagon for you non-Rush listeners!) is my all-time hero.

Interesting thing happened today. Hehe. My group of
democratic/liberal union brothers & sisters got (unexpected by me
anyway) protested. Yep, that's right, I am a republican that belongs
to a union, and am even a state delegate in that union.

I would estimate that somewhere between 25 and 35% of our delegate
body is also republican, and do not agree to the political agenda of
the union. As a matter of fact (being a job steward at my place of
employment), the group of people I personally represent is probably
85-90% republican. Our union does a lot of good things which I do
support, although the politics of the union is hard for me to
digest. Believe me when I tell you it's an interesting position to
be in, being conservative and involved in a union.

Several of my republican friends and I enjoyed today's protest (a
couple even came out and participated a little - they liked the
bumper stickers), although I don't think our union (while it is a
big supporter of Davis) is really the enemy... our biggest agenda is
protecting our relatively low paid classified (non-teacher) members.
Believe me when I tell you this is a just cause in most cases.

To whom this applies, keep up the good work, and "Dump Davis".

prdamrcn
