This dust up isn't helping Hasner at all. There's a few French Canadian-Americans who have Retired to Florida and become naturalized citizens. Making fun of LeMeiux's name doesn't help win over those votes.

Not that I mind, I'm supporting McCalister in this race.

There are also plenty of Americans of French descent who were born in the US--in New England, Louisiana, and elsewhere.

I don't think Ryan Theriot, Mike Fontenot, Adam LaRoche, or Jeff Francoeur are immigrants.

I didn’t see it as making fun of French or LeMieux’s name. It’s actually pretty clever. Hasner will get more ink on this, given the whining, than he would otherwise have received.

I wasn’t all that impressed with Hasner during the RPOF Presidency V. He came across as immature to me. This story reaffirms my first impression of Hasner. I prefer an adult for the U.S. Senate from Florida. Little Adam Hasner doesn’t seem to fit the bill.
