Meanwhile, the Boston Globe reporter that did the interview says he's double-checked the recording, and now thinks Kerry said "more leaders", not "foreign leaders."

Hahahahahaha.

The reporter is going to have to try harder, because that would make the statement "more leaders from other nations". What's the dif?

"I haven't met with foreign leaders for any overthrow purpose," Kerry responded. "I never said that. What I said was, that I have heard from people who are leaders elsewhere in the world, who don't appreciate the Bush administration approach and would love to see a change in the leadership of the United States."

Nuanced. Tres nuanced.

Anyway, for one, he's talking about Biden's private meeting with Chirac last November or December, for one.

"If the president wants his White House press secretary to be the press secretary for the re-election campaign, he ought to get him off the taxpayers' payroll and stop using the White House for political purposes," said Cutter, Kerry spokeswoman.

What a stupid response. Who is this knucklehead? Politics in the White House? Nope, never been done before.

As an aside... while we just lost Spain to Osama, Schroeder's government in Germany appears to be on the verge of collapse. That'd be a suitable trade off.

No, here's the "new" transciption:

MILTON FERRELL: "This is more than just the 50 states. You travel around outside the states, the people are still [inaudible] Europeans and elsewhere, they're counting on the American people. They hate Bush, but they know we're going to get rid of him. They're counting on us. [inaudible] It's a lot more than just [inaudible]-"

KERRY: "I've been hearing it, I'll tell ya. The news, the coverage in other countries, the news in other places. I've met more leaders who can't go out and say it all publicly, but boy they look at you and say, you gotta win this, you gotta beat this guy, we need a new policy, things like that. So there is enormous energy out there. Tell them, whereever they can find an American abroad, they can contribute," a reference to donations, prompting laughter from the crowd.

The question concerns support for Kerry outside the 50 states. The answer has to include the phrase "foreign leaders". He follows up by saying, "'Tell them, whereever they can find an American abroad, they can contribute,' a reference to donations, prompting laughter from the crowd."

So, the entire answer involved foreign entities. The bottom line is, Kerry lied. He lied then and he's lying now. Kerry is a compulsive liar.

That last part about politics in the White House made me see "RED!" When Kerry talked about discussions with foreign leaders, he crossed the line into foreign policy that concerns the President as the leader of this Country not Pres Bush the candidate.

Shame Kerry and his stoolies don't see the difference but then I wouldn't expect them to see that politics ends at the waters edge since the Clintons never did!

These people are terrified. They know this will cost them the election. Bush was wise to wait before pouncing. Kerry has had days to "clarify" this and hasn't. Getting the poor reporter toretract his story is really clintonian.

don't matter H...
they will buy and sell ANY LIE that impacts bush negatively.

They are counting on the fact that we all have things we don't agree with the president on 100 percent. they will feed this thing to the hilt.

these liberals would not only benefit from an al queada attack or two against our nation... they would happily sponsor them, given the chance. Remember that spy working for sheila jackson's office, the iraq spy? She was one of them. Remember that tre arrow guy the FBI arrested today... friend of VERA KATZ, portland oregons, gay agenda mayor... and former employer to the "gang of seven" terrorists convicted back two months ago... Democrats ARE the terrorist support infrastructure.

How many arabterrorist agents have democrats hired to coordinate tomorrow's terror acts for their political advancement against this administration. Who knows?

I disagree with bush here at free republic, more than most on several issues. To be fair, we all disagree with him from time to time. Some things he does may really tick me off. I can honestly oppose those issues head on.

Bush is not however, anything like the terrorist sell out or sympathizer that Kerry and the socialists worldwide, clearly are. They can be expected to HELP al quaida and others attack the united states via collaboration (for their own advancment) and when caught red-handed, will claim that their prosecution is "politically timed."

The spanish socialist who won yesterday... why would we not conclude that very likely: HE called on al queaida himself to sponsor that madrid bombings for his own party's political advancment??? How else could his supporters be on the streets in every major city with preprinted protest signs HOURS after the attacks if they did not KNOW in advance that massive blood would be shed?

Surely I am not the only person asking that question.

these are the kind of scum we are up against.
socialists who support, pay, aid, abet, recruit, hire, placate and give comfort to, murderors and terrorists.

God protect us from the demosocialist terrorists trying to start a blood bath for allah here.... and I do mean democrats.
