I'm going to put this on the top of the Michael Moore poster page, and mail it to some lefties that think Moore's movie ( which is full of speculation, rumor and innuendo) has credibilty:

Speaking of Philosophers .....

I took a couple of philosophy courses when I went to UT-Arlington (Tx). My philosophy professor, Dr. Thomas King (may he rest in peace) related a story of the English philosopher, Jeremy Bentham, that I will never forget.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll post the pic and the little story here:

Jeremy Bentham, 1748-1832.

Bentham's most bizarre coup came after his death in 1832. As stipulated in his will, Bentham's embalmed body was dressed and placed on display in a glass cabinet in the hallways of UCL. His body is still there today and, apparently, it is still wheeled in to preside over the annual meeting of university administrators. He also left his estate as an endowment to UCL and tens of thousands of pages of unpublished papers and tracts for successive generations to dig through (which they are still doing).

Note Bentham's actual preserved head between his feet there.

My philosophy professor liked to muse about himself being the "TRUE Philosopher King" !! hahaha !!
