Sure'n you've a muddled mind, Mr. "Zionist Conspirator," muddled methinks by a hatred that blinds whatever reasoning of which you might be capable.

You're so muddled by leftist PC concerns about "ethnocentrism" that you can't distinguish it from ethnic pride, something no American immigrant group need ever sacrifice.

Indeed we celebrate our roots, whether they be Irish, Italian, German, whatever. And we wear American flags on our lapels in witness to our patriotism. The two notions aren't mutually exclusive.

Nor are all Irish leftists, though that's another distinction bigots like yourself have difficulty making. Also, Mr. Z.C., you haven't explained your (probably racist) "honorary Africans" slur. But, consider the source: You probably think all Celts are Irish, not knowing whence the Celts originated and in how many nations they settled over their long history.

Last, a Saint Patrick's Day parade isn't a display of "nationalism," another term you bandy about in your muddled, befuddled way, like an amadaun. Slainte.

Ah, but I notice that the English are missing from your little ethnic diversity party. In fact, they serve as the abstract host population against which all the "beautiful" ethnics stand out. Has anyone in the United States ever heard of St. George's Day? I think not (and I won't even bring up Orange Day, which couldn't even be observed in the United States without a riot breaking out). Why should I, as an Anglo-Saxon (and a poor one at that) look on the rest of you (Irish, Armenians, whatever) and be "just an American" while everyone else has some ancient mystical motherland halfway around the world? I guess you might say I suffer from "hyphen envy."

Nor are all Irish leftists, though that's another distinction bigots like yourself have difficulty making.

I am aware of that. However, I can't help but resent the fact that I have no national heritage of any kind while the Irish and other Celts are treated by the Left the same way as are American Indians and Australian aborigines. I merely point out that the Irish Left (unlike the American Left) is nationalist and patriotic, even though I'm sure George Washington was far to the Left of Brian Boru. Even the Irish Republican Socialist Movement (which is as Communist as you can get) invokes the "eight hundred year struggle," which was hardly Marxist eight hundred years ago.

Also, Mr. Z.C., you haven't explained your (probably racist) "honorary Africans" slur.

Yes I did.

But, consider the source: You probably think all Celts are Irish, not knowing whence the Celts originated and in how many nations they settled over their long history.

Oh come now. I am aware of Galatia in Asia Minor, Spanish and Polish-Ukrainian Galicia, and Gaul, as well as the Brythonic and Goidelic Celts. I applaud the preservation and survival of these languages despite overwhelming odds (from the English in the past and nowadays from the French). I have even studied Welsh and occasionally listen to Celtic languages on the Internet just to get the sound of them (including Breton, Manx, and Cornish). But that doesn't change the fact that in a world where white racists claim that Communism is a plot against the "white race" the Celts (and not just the Irish) are a Leftist cause celebre.

My intitial post was not meant as an attack on all Irish or Celts, but merely to point out that the Irish Left, which attacks America, its history, and its patriotism, considers itself the psychic heir of ancient mystical nationalism that it condemns in others. That's all I was saying.
