Bush Ahead In Fox News Poll (Election 2004 Polls - General)
More good polling news for President Bush. On the heels of the just released Gallup poll, Fox News just came out with a poll that shows President Bush opening up a small lead on Senator Kerry.
Bush 48% Kerry 42%
Bush 47% Kerry 40% Nader 3%
Bush's overall job approval stands at 49%, mirroring the Gallup poll. Also, his approval rating split on the economy, 46%/49%, matches the Gallup poll.
As an added bonus, Fox News also did some state polling. The results from Ohio and Pennsylvania contradict the polls from this morning.
OHIO Bush 47% Kerry 43%
Bush 45% Kerry 41% Nader 4%
PENNSYLVANIA Bush 47% Kerry 44%
Bush 46% Kerry 41% Nader 3%
MICHIGAN Kerry 44% Bush 43%
Bush 42% Kerry 40% Nader 5%
FLORIDA Bush 50% Kerry 41%
Bush 48% Kerry 38% Nader 3%
I will update the electoral scoreboard later tonight as there are definitely some changes in the totals. The entire poll was done June 22-23.
Well on Fox you just might here the Fox polls!
I spun the bones last night and this will be the 11/02/04 results of the poll that counts:
Bush 51% ... Kerry 45% ... Other ... 4%

Thanks for posting this. This year I'm showing them as on the average just over 4 points favoreble to Kerry.
The Democrats are looking more and more silly. Add Algore's childish rants to Bill Clinton's Bad Boy pride, and the Left reminds Republicans and most independents what they didn't like about the Democrats in the first place. The Democrats are practicing, by seeing Michael Moore's all over the place pseudodocumentary, what Richard Hofstader once called, "the paranoid style" of American politics. This used to be a phenomenon associated with the extreme Right and the John Birchers - you know, see your fellow Americans as enemies in the midst. And over the coming months, more and more Americans are going to watch the Democrats' over the top antics and be repelled by them. Plus, what will help our side - the serious people in this country - is the fact that as the Democrats keep falling in the polls, they will go even nuttier and more bizarre. One has yet to see people afflicted with signs of dementia and mental instability entrusted with public office. Certainly not a party that's being taken over by its kooks and wackos.
The LA TIMES and Zogby hatchet polls with Kerry leading big were broadcasted as major news. I doubt the media elite will acknowledge the Fox News polls. They will dismiss them as "Faux".
Do you think there's any connection between the content of democratic attacks on President Bush and the reason for people deciding against John Kerry?
For example, are they attacking the al qaeda/iraq connection because people have begun to believe in that Iraq was a just cause?
Agreed. I don't let myself get too tied up in this nonsense. I remember the last election; some freepers were such an emotional wreck by the end I thought they would have to be hospitalized.
Ken, you're like the addict complaining about the power coke has over him as he pulls out his spoon! LOL
I heard it this evening on Brit Hume's show.
This dude couldn't get more pathetic if he tried! :-D
Geez, another example of good poll results for Dubya while he still has weak (in this case -3% net) numbers on the economy. Assuming these numbers are an accurate reflection of today's electorate, I'd say the Bush camp is rather pleased with its position right now.
Kerry!
It's MY State, and you can't have it!

The state polls in some of the battlegrounders are really jumping back and forth. Is there any justification for a straight numeric average of polls and a numeric average of moe's....calling it a tossup if the numeric average doesn't exceed the average moe?
George W. Bush will be reelected by a margin of at least ten per cent
What are the internals (party ID numbers, etc.) for this poll?
I find these polls very interesting and encouraging but in reality, the first poll that will really mean something is the first one after both parties have had their conventions. Kerry will get a convention bounce -- after the 1984 Democratic Convention (but before the Republican Convention) one poll actually showed Mondale with a two percentage point lead over Reagan. After the Republican Convention, Reagan got his bounce and won going away.
