A combined effort between Freepers and Protest Warriors was a MAJOR success today in Richmond, Virginia!!
A.N.S.W.E.R. and local socialist sympathizers (IndyMedia) were taken by surprise by a joint operation called "Lightning Bolt". What was supposed to be a HUGE Anti- Bush, Anti-War, Anti-America, Anti-Everything rally, turned out to be nothing more than maybe 200 - 300 hundred of the "usual" suspects. In other words, the un-washed, and the un-employable !! There seemed to be more police than protestors, even though, as an inducement to swell the crowd of protestors, they advertised "Free Food". As the Freepers and Protest Warriors lined Belvidere and Franklin Streets with signs and flags, motorists started beeping their car horns and giving us the "thumbs-up". This did not please the socialists and anarchists. Nor did the fact that we received a large amount of media attention. Several Freepers and Protest Warriors were interviewed by 2 local television stations, and 2 local reporters for the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Not "one" American flag was seen in the march, BUT......a large "United Nations" flag was proudly hoisted in the middle of the marchers. This will come as no surprise to Freepers, but it is nonetheless disheartening to see people who would rather carry a U.N. flag in place of an American flag.
We were all thrilled at the reception of the local residents who supported our efforts, but the entire day was justified when a young man, who was out riding his bicycle, stopped to thank us for supporting the troops. He was a former Marine, and he just wanted us to know how much our support meant to him.
It was a good day......a VERY good day !!

I've got a great picture of you - no red eye - that I will post tomorrow with a bunch more in the photo album. There were some pretty funny ones of the protestors that I'll see if Mr. Silverback can use in his weekly Idiots Caption-a-rama.

They were indeed...today's FReep was much less confrontational, I would say...the Left was rather MEEK today. One of them asked as they passed on Franklin, "Is THIS all y'all got?!" And I quickly responded, "THIS is all we need!! Heh heh heh"...li'l hippy-wanna-be 'bout wet his trousers right then and there. THAT was FUN!!!

I only had a few exchanges with the scum today.
1 guy told me I was "sad and pathetic"
I smiled, that sneaky smile of mine, and asked:
"Am I coming off more sad or pathetic? Because if I had to guess I would have to say sad since your pathetic little march reminds me of how many treasonous scum snake around Richmond".
That made him mad!
He said:
"You think you are funny don't you missy"?
I said:
"No, but I think you are".
The police around us stated laughing at him too. Then told him to keep walking. It was priceless!
It only took a few minutes for the marchers to pass so while we waited for them to come back Mud lined everybody up to sing "Where Have All the Hippies Gone..."

The peace freaks had a Palestinian flag at our rally last Friday in Fresno. Sheeeeesh. Good to see some supporters of Israel at your FReep. Yahoo!

There was supposed to be a large contigent of Palestinian Supporters but very few could be described as ethnic.
I walked around their rally for a few minutes and was struck by the lack of testosterone. The speakers were mostly young females with shrill voices. The few male speakers had shrill voices also. The Black Bloc was mostly white and definitely on the skinny.
The beefiest group of guys were the skinheads.
It is a strange world down there and I hope and pray that those kids will one day leave it behind and walk in the Light.
Good point, my FRiend...the hippies have become quite grungie, and the peircings and tattoos were simply atrocious!! Now, back to "Conagher!!"...MUD

Once a Marine, Always a Marine.
It is soo great you were able to have such a successful infiltration... we tried that here in Los Angeles on the 30th and only got 4 in attendance, but it was worth it we pissed some of them off. We also saw a "former Marine" but I don't think she was telling the truth her sign said "Former Marine For Peace" and needless to say she was NOT very peacful.
