I have no idea, but I think Frist has his numbers pretty tightly controlled. Murkowski is one of "our" vulnerable seats, so she has to play to the middle in this election. If things had been tighter, I think KBH might have overcome her "concerns" and voted with the good guys. Methinks there's a whole lot of wheeling-dealing going on.

Isn't it strange that the liberals believe that the ONLY "right" that is truly without any limits whatsoever is the right to murder your unborn child?

Another slap at president Bush by Big Jawn.

That right there makes me want to support him!

The Dem Ayes are in Red States, the Rep Nos are in Blue states. It's pretty simple.

Note that four of the six were from Arkansas and Louisiana. Louisiana is an open seat (Breaux retiring) and in Arkansas Lincoln is at least potentially vulnerable. Perhaps the Dems didn't want to give any more ammunition to GOP challengers in those states than they had to.

That is loathsome and what I despise about politicians.

I wonder if these folks are the left mirror image of the Northern Kentucky Right to Life, to whom a 100% pro life voting record is not sufficient simon-pure to endorse if he or she invited a lesser light to speak at some event.

Maybe it just means that Holmes has never said anything substantively pro-abortion and his record remains an enigma. I.e. another David Souter.

Yep. Sure did.

I despise them. No representation for the likes of me in the People's Republic.

The Bible says many things, especially in the Old Testament, that few people practice.

Since she has voted for PLENTY of them, I suggest it means that when she CAN without damaging the party, she will vote her conscience.

Well, whatever. There are virtually NO successful politicians in American history---Washington, Jefferson, Jackson, Lincoln, TR, and Reagan included, who did not "compromise," usually often.

Reagan once condemned (see his autobiography) those who were "one-issue" voters if they gummed up needed legislation in other areas.
