Rodney King wants to be remembered as a peacemaker

Rodney King says he doesn't want to be remembered as the person who started the Los Angeles riots in 1992. King's videotaped beating by police shocked the nation. He uttered his famous plea, "Can we all get along?" as the riots raged after four white police officers were acquitted of his beating. The riots left 55 people dead and $1 billion in property damage in Los Angeles. "I'd like to be remembered for the person who threw water on the whole thing. Part of the solution, you know?" he said in an interview published Sunday in The New York Times. "I want to be remembered as the person who tried to keep peace in this country, that I did my part." King later settled his lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles for $3.8 million, but most of the money is gone. King, 39, has since had a string of run-ins with the law, being arrested for things such as spousal abuse, hit-and-run driving and being under the influence of PCP. He walks with a limp since he lost control of his car last year, crashed into a house at 100 mph and shattered his pelvis. Now he has written a rap song titled "Beat Down" and is working on a book about his life. Asked if society has learned to get along since the riots, King said, "We're working through change, but it's a slow process. Race is the biggest problem we face in this country. I don't have to explain it, do I? We all know what's going on."

You are asking an idiot his opinion. This is just another member of society who can not admit that he made a huge mistake. ( On parole, on PCP, ran from Police, resisted arrest)
Since he is an irresponsible adult, he blames society, racism, and police departments, everybody but himself.
This fool would never realize that he was a tool by the race pimps and the LA Times to use against LAPD.
What the Rodney King riots were about was : Who would run the streets: LAPD or the Crips.

Yeah Rodney, we all know what is going on. It's people like you that are keeping racial issues alive and dividing our society at a time when Americans of all races and ethnicities should be united for our common good.
