I remember hearing an Art Bell show about this a few years ago. It wasn't about the spinning while still though, it was anti-gravity...which this story confirms.
I don't remember the element that was used, but it was the same thing; a very cold ring spinning that lost mass. (I'm no scientist, just writing what I remember). Interestingly, the guy said the by stacking multiple spinning rings he could increase the anti-gravity effect accordingly.
Who knows, interesting though.
Art Bell is about as trustworthy as Algore when it comes to sound science. This has zero, zilch, nada to do with anit-gravity, and merely confirms experimentally what has already been known theoretically.
