DUBAI (Reuters) - An Islamist group in Iraq (news - web sites) has said it killed two female Italian hostages in a statement posted on an Internet site not often used by Iraqi militants.

The group, calling itself the Jihad Organization, said it had killed the women after Italy did not heed its call to withdraw its forces from Iraq. A group with a similar name, the Islamic Jihad Organization, said on September 12 that it would kill the hostages in 24 hours if Italian troops did not leave Iraq.

I'm dumbstruck; I know I shouldn't be, but I am. Maybe I'm just plain dumb, without the struck. I was holding out for even a little goodness somewhere in that religion of peace but now I'm thinking, none exists. I wonder if we'll hear genuine condemnation from any leaders in the religion of peace; wonder if Hillary and NOW will say it's Bush's fault.

Well I don't know about that Bert. The Islamofacists are getting more savage, perhaps. Look what they just did in Russia. School children! So what's a couple of women to a Islamofascist?

"They need to get both Saddam Hussein and that woman, Chemical Ali, or whatever they call her on trial and sentenced to death. Get it overwith NOW."

With all due respect-- what has SH got to do with these murders? He's been in jail for months now.

"can expect a decade of atrocities from Zarquawi and al-Sadr because they have not been fully and permanently dealt with."

I believe this will change after the election, when politics no longer matter as much.

In-laws are in Italy now on vacation. They said they have never seen so much graffiti and street people. I was surprised because I thought Berlusconi would be tough on this sort of thing. I went to Spain when Aznar was in charge and it was magnificent. I'm curious as to how much damage Zapatero has done in a short time.

they may get their wish for a tougher response and a wider war...but not in the way they imagine.

No it won't. Our political season has neutralized our wherewithal to wipe out the terrorist strongholds.

Fallujah still stands and Zarquawi is in control, buying hostages from other radical elements. al-Sadr still controls his militia.

And it will only get worse there, and possibly here, between now and our election. Expect allot more. They will try to influence our election.

Jimmy Carter was the guy who gave shelter to the sick Shaw and ended up getting our people taken hostage. Remember.

I can see waiting until Nov 3rd, but can't we seal Fallujah off now? Just make it off limits to all traffic, in or out.

"With the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of communism as we knew it, the Bush administration moved to dismantle all of our tactical nuclear weapons, including the Reagan stockpile of neutron bombs."

There are thousands of sources for this info, but I got this from the article at:

I know what you mean - I used to question the Israeli method of bulldozing down terrorist's family houses, but maybe it is coming to that point, or worse, in Iraq and elsewhere - I read the reports that Russians took Chechen terrorist's family members hostage during the school seige, but let them go when it was over. May Saints Agnese and Cecelia watch over these women.

Are you intimating that the President, and his commanders, are running this War through cynical political considerations?

It is not a religion of peace.

It is a religion of horror with the god of Satan.

The peace loving Muslims will have to form a new religion as theirs has been confiscated by the devil. If this is not Allah, why do they stay?
