YOUR PRAYERS ARE NEEDED
October 19, 2004 | GYPSY286

Posted on 10/19/2004 6:27:44 AM PDT by GYPSY286

I am blessed with a wonderful family and good health, two things which are very important to me. However, I'm on a road to where devastating decisions await me and I am in a panic. I've been out of a job since May and have had 16 interviews in the past 6 weeks but no offers.

My unemployment runs out the first week of December and I checked to learn that there are no extensions scheduled. I'm not eligible for help to get retrained (I was considering court reporting). I can't apply for any loans because my credit is shot.

I've always been independent and was very proud of myself when I bought my own house three years ago. Now I am faced with putting it up for sale and moving in with either my sister or daughter. I'll have to put my beloved Gypsy (German Shepard) down or return her to Animal Friends (where I got her) because she doesn't get along with other animals and both my sister and daughter have their own pets.

I've prayed for guidance and success in obtaining a job. I know God's time is not necessarily my time but I am running out of time and I am so depressed I can hardly make it through the day. Your prayers would be appreciated. Thank you.

I wish I could offer some assistance; all I can offer is advice. Advice is worth what you pay for it. So, if you have not been successful in your line of work, whatever that was, then you must change. Check with whatever school you attended to see if they have any employers seeking their students / former students.

All the Best

Prayers, good thoughts, and a little advice, if I may. What's MOST important, and the hardest thing to do..when you're facing tough times, and feel depressed is to make the WRONG, emotional decisions. Sometimes you make NOT be the best judge of what course of action to take. Is there anyone you trust you can discuss your situation with?..BTW.. i concur in the decision to sell the house. While it hurts, it's better to get out of a situation you can't afford, than make the mistake many do, to try and hold on irrationally. That usually ends up in foreclosure..

Don't let the devil destroy you with discouragement. My husband faced a similar situation earlier this year. God is faithful and don't you believe anything else. Start telling the devil he is a liar! God has promised to never leave you nor forsake you, stand on the words of 1 Peter 5:6-10, meditate on these powerful words until they are deep in your spirit. A song I recently heard may help: it said " I want a peace beyond my understanding, I want to feel it fall like rain in the middle of my hurting. I want to feel your arms as they surround me, and let me know that it's okay to be here in this place, resting in the peace that only comes in the waiting." Vicki Yohe sings that song-it ministered to us when we were waiting for God to move. Also see Hebrews 4:16--be fearless and bold in going to the throne of God to find the help you need. Don't you give up--God can do anything But fail! Remember how God led Abraham up on a high place after Lot had chosen the better land? God told Abraham "look from the place where you are" God did not tell him to look at the place where his feet were currently planted, but to have faith to see a future that only God can speak over us--beleive God. See Exodus 13:14-17. There is a promise to us to believe but also to get up and possess the land--walking in it not just looking at it. Believe God!

Often, God puts us in a position that we must rely on Him, and not on ourselfes for our needs. You mentioned you were "Proud" that you had purchased your new home. Maybe God saw this pride and wanted you to see that it was not you, but He that did this for you. God "chastens" His children (I know, he has chasened me often) Anyway, just remember that if you are one of God's children (through a belief in Christ) He will NEVER let your needs go unmet, it just might be His timing and not ours. My 2 cents

You're being tested. Give it to God. I've been down this road (after the tech wreck), and it can be bone-crushing at times, but God has something else in mind for you. As long as you are doing all you can, God will do the rest.

Dear Heavenly Father..I come to you today on behalf of GYPSY286, praying that you would undertake here, and provide this dear lady with a job. I ask you to comfort her, and though it's not easy to be in God's waiting room, that you Lord, would calm her heart and soul, and let her know that your timing is perfect...you're never early, never late, but ALWAYS on time! Thank you Lord in advance for what you're going to do in this lady's life!! In Jesus Name, Amen!

It's always tough...you will need to acquire something to bring in revenue while your search continues. Work on finding a position from 7am to 3pm, and find something after hours to produce money. Even if just a fraction of your normal money your family will realize and appreciate it. Best wishes and my prayers for your success.

I once found myself in a similar position. I got two part-time jobs and learned skills that became very important to me in later years. I eventually got my full time job and ended up owning my own business. Best of luck. Keep praying yourself. You know more than you think you do, and you can learn even more!
