ollywood actress Jada Pinkett Smith may have been honored as Artist of the Year Saturday at Harvard University, but her speech ruffled some feathers among the Ivy League school's gay community.
The Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian, Transgender, and Supporters Alliance is reportedly taking issue with Smith's remarks as being too specific to heterosexual relationships, according to The Harvard Crimson.
``Some of the content was extremely heteronormative, and made BGLTSA members feel uncomfortable,'' BGLTSA co-chairman Jordan Woods told the Crimson.

This quote is too good to be true.
Webster's:
No entry found for heteronormative.
Damn Liberals, always making up new works for a fella to learn.
Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian, Transgender, and Supporters Alliance for Homonormativising Society Coalition.
;^)
LMAO. I need to start creating my own bumper stickers.
``Women, you can have it all - a loving man, devoted husband, loving children, a fabulous career,'' she said. ``They say you gotta choose. Nah, nah, nah. We are a new generation of women. We got to set a new standard of rules around here. You can do whatever it is you want. All you have to do is want it.''
As a male of the species, I'm deeply offended and saddended by Mrs Smith's comments which were obviously made to the exclusion of men. Can't men have it all TOO? Is just women who can have it all? How very insensitive of her. I demand a formal apology, in writing, delivered to my door by her husband Will in the next 48 hours...
(Of course Mrs. Smith's comments only make sense when you realize that she and the Mister have about four hundred quintillion dollars in the bank, and can buy there way out of any difficulties...)
LOL I just did the same thing!. key tho is to parse Norm out of it...jerks
Oh, that's good. That's real good!
Hetero...what?
Geez, how can anyone be responsible for offending these people when they don't even speak English?
So now you cannot talk about relationships without talking about gay relationships.
It is just plain nuts!!!
Nah, mollies. (I hope that isn't offensive)
My thesauraus shows one synonym:
Hyperheterospecific ;^)
Well, if hetero ain't normative, then homo must be normative, unless androgeno is normative. What is the norm? For cryin' out loud, any sentient being knows hetero is normative; without that norm, homo wouldn't exist. If Norm's norm is normal, he's hetero.
Kapish?
``Some of the content was extremely heteronormative, and made BGLTSA members feel uncomfortable,''
In other words, made them feel "heterophobic".
Think that bisexual is at the front of the list of groups because, they are all BS...
'Heteronormativophobic'.
Well Thank God I'm 5'2....what in the world does her height have to do with anything?
I just want to know if heteronormativophobism is a hate crime ... should it call for a death penalty? (providing the speaker is over 21 of course)
