CODEPINK Events happening in Fayetteville for March 19
March 19: Political Listener Campaign. We have been asked by the March 19 Fayetteville Rally Organizing Committee to initiate a regional campaign to invite decision-makers to join the rally as listeners. Requests have already gone to Gov. Howard Dean, NC Rep. Coble, and NC Rep. Watt. However, these requests need to be repeated and the campaign needs to be extended to ALL regional (NC, SC, and VA) REPRESENTATIVES AND SENATORS to CONGRESS. If you believe you can contribute to this effort, please join us, men and women alike! We must demand that our decision-makers are listening to their constituents! We are entering a moral and economic crisis that hinges on resolution in Iraq and diplomacy in Iran. Both our troops and the people of Iraq and Iran deserve our presence and the presence of our political leaders on March 19th!
March 19: Fayetteville's PINK CORRAL Tailgate Party - On Rowan Street in the big parking lot. Breakfast, snack foods, drinks will be provided. In exchange for treats we will be accepting donations for Charlotte, NC CODEPINK's Sri Lankan Project and the Humanitarian Aid to Iraq Project. Please join us, meet your sisters in peace, and break bread together. If you want to volunteer or make food/drink donations please contact Michelle Bailey at xxxx.xxx
*Update! Good News from Lou Plummer (Military Families Speak Out)! U.S. Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D -Petaluma, CA) is both coming to Fayetteville and speaking! She is scheduled to speak around 1:45pm! Any word on your NC Congressmember? Please contact Shannon with any responses.
March 19: NC volunteers needed to work the CODEPINK Store/Table. If interested please contact Shannon Hardy at xxxx.xxx
REVISED (3/14) VOLUNTEER NEEDS (Wendy, M.19 Volunteer Coordinator): Only 5 folks have volunteered so far. Still needed: about 18-20 people early in the morning. The majority of the jobs are during the Rally (afternoon), but then there is tear down (another 20-25 people) and Friday and Sunday. Please E-mail Wendy if able to help at any of these times.
SECURITY UPDATE (Chuck Fager, police liaison/Quakerhouse): They will be checking bags. But this year, expecting a much larger crowd, there will be more than one entry, including one for bagpeople and one for the bagless, to speed things along. We will have a complete list of "contraband" in a day or two; but already we can say: NO GLASS containers. Coolers are allowed.

Just another fine socialist that has FOUND SAFE HAVEN IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA...or should I say, THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CALIFORNIA...
I saw this idiot witch on the House floor last night saying that she is going to vote AGAINST the supplemental funding for the troops in Afghanistan and Iraq because, get this:
SHE LOVES THEM SO MUCH!!!
Yep, because she loves them, she is going to deny them the ammunition and protection they need to stay alive!
This is disgraceful and I can't laugh at people when they say and do things that not just hurt our efforts in the war, but purposly put the men and women in more harm---
It is the same as buying additional ammunition for the ENEMY!!!
Did you type it that way, or are the radical fems still misspelling the word like they used to because they didn't like that "Woman" had the word "man" in it?
If you didn't goof, that's a real hoot.
Get over it, you lost we won!
Hanoi Kerry and Hanoi Jane must be overcome with rapture!
Just in time for Hanoi Jane's apperance on 60 Minutes on Apr 3
The pink(o) font is a nice touch. BTTT and see you there.
I have to confess, I did it on purpose.
Must be something they put in the water here in Takoma Park - home of The Nation's David Corn, "constitutional scholar" Jamie Raskin, accused Saddam spy Susan Lindauer, and assorted other left-wingers.
See you Saturday, CD.
She's my congresscritter too, alas!
She'll be hearing from me in the morning.
/evil grin/
Lynn Woolsey also doesn't like the USA Boy Scouts.
What is that behind her? Jabba?
Congressman Bob Filner D, San Diego also attended the anti war rally in San Diego Saturday...supporting not the troops, but the protesters...
You're right. Could it be Odd Job?
She used to be mine. I upgraded to Ellen Tauscher, who at least has a high-school level understanding of economics. ;)
