Why is the President in favor of legal status for illegals? That's one point I've missed over the years and I don't understand it.
That's a good question. I'd like to know too.
Because the Bush dynasty is all about a New World Order.
He thinks it will fix the problem.
Of course, he can just look back at the 80's and see it does no such thing.
He wants an unlimited supply of cheap, subsidized by the taxpayer, labor for his rich, elite buddies. If this labor happens to be illegal it gives us lots to complain about.
If he can redefine all the illegals as legals and open the borders to an unlimited number more he can just shrug his shoulders and just say these are good honest hardworking people and we have nothing to complain about.
But none of the problems go away. We still have overburdened schools that are failing because of English as a second language students and failing hospital with an abundance of poor uninsured patients demanding free care and driving up our insurance rates. Making them legal does not make these problems go away. Business gets a huge cheap labor subsidy. By making them legal his rich friends have lots of poor labor to exploit and we just look like heartless racists when we complain.
I've heard him questioned on this in interviews. He seems to mumble something about "these are only hard working people trying to earn a living for their families". He seems oblivious to the fact that when you open the gate, not everyone coming thru are hard working people looking for work. He seems to be as "brain dead" to the national security issues as clinton and carter.
