China to 'react strongly' to N. Korea nuke test: lawmaker
By Naoko Aoki
BEIJING, May 12 Kyodo - (EDS: MORE DETAIL THROUGHOUT) Wang Jiarui, head of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee's International Department, told a senior Japanese opposition lawmaker on Thursday that China would ''react strongly'' to a North Korean nuclear weapons test.
Yoshito Sengoku, chairman of the Policy Research Committee of the Democratic Party of Japan, told reporters that Wang made the comment, which implies China's opposition to such a test, during a meeting in Beijing.

If I had been the Japanese lawmaker, my response would have been "So will we. What I want to know is if you'd react strongly to a nuclear test by the Japanese?"

I can just hear the tongue lashing which will descend upon the NK's. Why, it might even make some people blush. In Hawaii they are now busy estimating how long the NK Rocket will be in flight. Thanks to Clinton, if they miss with the first effort, well ----- try try again.

I, in a demeted sort of way, would LOVE to see the hissy fit China would have if Japan tested a nuke.

The Chicoms need to put their dog(NK) on a leash and keep it on the porch...
That is if they want to continue exporting their junk to America and the rest of the Free World!

Re #11
If China insists on playing the current game, they will have a heart attack. When Japan goes nuclear, they won't have one or two nukes, but at least hundreds, complete with the cutting-edge delivery system China may not even have. They can even have H-bomb.

I wonder what they mean by 'react strongly.' "Naughty, naughty, Kim Jong-Il. Now say that you're sorry!"

How ironic for North Korea to continue to do
stupid things that will cause the sleeping giant of JAPAN in East Asia to awaken and get their hands into all kinds of things that will make the regional neighbors all nervous. One would hope Kim Jong-il would have looked at this larger picture, and Japanese intent/technological capabilities and downright insularity to protect their own island when push-comes-to-shove.
But, I guess Yo Chia Pet Kimmy really only cares about his never ending supply of cognac, b-jobs from Russians, his own Korean dancing/entertainment girls, shabu-shabu, foreign films & satellite TV, jetskiiing and those adoring, cult-like DPRK mass rallies.
