Yes and no. Even though beta 2 is not officially "out" yet -- its pretty much locked down, now. I've seen enough of the inner workings of MS (firsthand) to tell you that comments from Beta 1 will probably not be rolled into the final release. They have a fixed deployment schedule and that's it. MS doesn't test anything. So if something is horribly broken it stays broken until a customer with big $ screams bloody murder. No one at MS can provide a state diagram of what the operating system is doing at any part of the start-up process. There is no documentation. There are no test cases. There is no infrastructure for testing. Test is totally under the thumb of Development who have a vested interest in passing every test they create.
Vista is horribly bloated, over-designed and a massive disappointment. I predict things will change very little from the final release.
